Overview Founded in 2013, Hipcamp has become the most expansive resource for campers to discover unique and exciting outdoor stays that range from tent camping to treehouses. The creators Alyssa Ravasio and co-founder Eric Bach shared a belief that undeveloped land should be protected and felt that nature-loving people were the key to that protection. Their dream to make outdoor experiences and camping more accessible has come to fruition through their website which lists primitive camping locations, RVs, cabins, and many other stays.
Challenges Hipcamp’s current strategy lacked compelling design features and playfulness which is crucial to the brand’s connection with their audience. We felt as a team, land conservation was missing strength in their brand voice and should be a forefront of their company.
Approach We rejuvenated Hipcamp’s values with an updated tagline that reads, “Camp for Change” to create a call to action that inspires an audience to seek outdoor recreation. Their brand now highlights their onliness as the only booking service for campsites that helps land conservation efforts.
